When are the European Elections 2024 taking place?
The European Elections take pace on different days depending on your country. Here's a brief list of when different countries vote.

How to vote in the EU elections 2024
If you are an EU citizen living in an EU country, you can vote in your country of origin, from abroad or in the EU country you live in.
As an EU citizen living somewhere else in the EU or even outside the EU, you are eligible to vote, but you might have to register. You can either vote in the country of origin or in your host country. Find out more about the registration deadlines on our Vote from abroad page.
Who should I vote for
We recommend that you vote for the Green party in your country, because a vote for the Greens is a vote for a fair economy, for the planet, the protection of human rights and democracy. As Greens, we will never stop fighting for a Europe that protects the most vulnerable and that takes the climate emergency seriously. A vote for the Greens in the EU elections 2024 is a vote against the far right and for a socially just and green Europe. Let's make 2024 the year were put the planet and the people first!

Why is voting so important?
In June 2024, you have the chance to determine the future of the European Union. This year is especially important, as the rise of the far right poses a direct threat to European democracy and the climate.
The best way to prevent this is to get out and use your vote!
What do the Greens stand for?
For the EU elections 2024, the European Greens have adopted 12 top priorities. We want:
- A Green and Social Deal for Europe
- Climate action: 100% renewable energy by 2040
- Good jobs and fair pay for all
- Restore nature, protect biodiversity
- Ensure affordable housing for everyone
- Healthy, pesticide free food for fair prices
- End animal cruelty! Stop mega-farms and long-distance transport
- We pay our taxes. Billionaires and multinationals must also pay their fair share
- A strong Europe to protect democracy, fundamental rights and freedom
- A feminist Europe, your body, your choice!
- Europe united for peace and security
- Clean water for all

Can I vote for the European Green Party?
Since the European Parliament elections are taking place on national level, you can only vote for national candidates and national parties. Here's a list of our Green member parties. Click on your country to learn more about the Green party or parties you can vote for in your country.
The elected Green candidates from all countries work together in the Green Group in the European Parliament.
