FOCUS:

Poland and its relation to the EU are at the epicenter of political attention. Its recent veto of the EU budget by fear of the rule of law conditionalities may directly deepen the social crisis for Polish and EU citizens in the hope for a rapid post-coronavirus recovery. The democratic backsliding at play in the country and the attacks on LGBTI and other communities are equally affecting its citizens. The attacks on human rights are particularly affecting women who are prevented access to safe abortion and are now courageously taking the streets to reclaim their rights. And finally, its coal-reliant economy is a challenge for the full engagement of Poland in a rapid and just ecological and energy transition.

The European and Polish Greens are at the forefront of these fights. We will address the path forward with European and Polish Greens fighting on a daily basis for solutions that work for all citizens.
