How can we use EU funding opportunities at the national, regional and local levels? How can we shape the way those funds are decided? How can we make sure the EU funds are not used against climate action or against democracy? In this session, participants will have the opportunity to find out more about how to access EU funding and how to make sure such funds and programs are put to good use.

I spent ten happy years of my professional life chasing invertebrates in the Australian desert. My political career began soon after returning to my home town in the Czech Republic as a local opposition councillor. I won the municipal election and became the town mayor in 2018, the same year I was elected as the vice-chair of the Czech Greens. I became the co-chair of the party with my colleague Michal Berg in January 2020. |

Roccu Garoby, Policy Adviser for the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament I am Roccu GAROBY, 33 years old, Corsican, I have Master degree on Political sciences ( on EU affairs). I wrote on EU affairs in a Corsican weekly political newspapers (2010-2018), I was President (2011-2016) and Vice-President (2016-2018) of the Youth Branch of the European Free Alliance (EFAYouth). Former Assistant to the Greens/EFA MEP François Alfonsi (2010-2011), I have been working for the Greens/EFA group since November 2011, mainly on the EU budgetary affairs (Committee on Budgets and Committee on Budgetary control). I took part, as Greens/EFA staff, on the negotiations on the MFF 2014-2020 & MFF 2021-2027. |

Bernd Voß, Member of the European Committee of Regions and of the Schleswig-Holstein State Parliament In addition to a long career in green politics, Bernd Voß has been involved in energy-environmental and agricultural issues since completing his studies: from being a dairy farmer to being one of the founders of Die GRÜNEN in Northern Germany. From 2002 to 2006 Voß was a member of the European Economic and Social Committee and focused on GMO-free food, organic farming, biomass, renewable energies and industry. As a European politician, he is also a member of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference. To this day, climate, energy and rural development remain his three priority areas. Voß is a member of the European Committee of the Regions since January 2020. |

Vula Tsetsi, Committee member, European Green Party Vula Tsetsi was elected to the Committee of the EGP in November 2019. In her mandate as Committee member, she is notably responsible for liaising with the EGP Southern Member Parties. She is since 2004 the Secretary-General of the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament and she has also been active with the Greens in Greece for many years. She is dedicated to reinforcing the cooperation between the European Green family organisations, including the Green European Foundation, the Greens/EFA Group, and the Federation of Young European Greens. |
