We're looking to recruit a Social Media Management Intern to join our campaign team in the run-up to the 2019 European elections.
The selected candidate will work together with the communications team to plan and create posts for across our social media networks: mainly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
During the campaign, we will work with our member parties and partners throughout Europe to shine a light on Green policies and promote our leading candidates, with the aim of electing Green members of the European Parliament. We are working to make real change happen and we are pushing for a fairer, Greener Europe.
• Your tasks
Assist our social media manager with creating engaging and creative social media content
Spread our campaigns through social media
Spot opportunities for messaging based on current affairs and news trending on social media
Analyse performance through data analytics and suggest improvements through regular reports
Potentially, but not necessarily, produce visuals and social stories
• Your profile
Knowledge of the European political environment and Green policies, with a strong desire to build a more progressive and sustainable Europe
Experience with using social media channels professionally (especially Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) and awareness of the latest developments in the field
Communication and copywriting skills that can transform a complex policy into digestible and engaging content. To this effect a good command of English is vital, while further knowledge of official EU languages will be considered an asset
Strong project management skills, with an ability to work in a stressful environment under tight deadlines
An analytical mindset with the sensitivity needed to communicate the delicate nature of politics
A sense for the tone-of-voice and topics that resonate with young progressives
A high interest in social media and political messaging
You are eager to learn fast
Great collaborative skills to operate with a team of professionals
Some basic design skills (adobe creative suite) will be considered an asset
