Coronavirus Recovery: Let's build a better tomorrow!

As Greens, we have always pushed for building a more sustainable and fair future, built on the values of solidarity and democracy. The global health pandemic is a crisis that we must face together, but we believe we cannot simply go back to “business-as-usual” as we begin to rebuild our societies and our economies. We have experienced first hand, and on a global scale, the shortcomings and failures of our old systems. We must learn from these experiences and rebuild things, better. We not only owe it to the millions who have been affected by the health crisis now, but also to the future generations who will face both the impacts of this and future crises. Now is the time to demand fairer jobs and better working conditions, to push for more resilient and healthy food systems, to build clean, walkable and livable cities, to encourage solidarity between countries, and to strengthen our democracies and institutions. We need an economic transition to a more sustainable and fair system that leaves no one behind. Now more than ever, we must demand that we build a better tomorrow.

Green Parties all over Europe are setting out their visions for a better tomorrow. On this page, you’ll find a list of parties who have published their vision and a link to their published plans. Check back frequently for updates to the list -- building a better tomorrow is only just starting.

Sustainable agriculture can help tackle a food crisis fuelled by climate shocks and war

Post date:
08 July 2022
Body:

Together, Russia and Ukraine exported more than a quarter of the world's wheat before the war. Now, the war is impacting food security across the globe. As Greens, we believe that food should never be used as a geopolitical weapon – and we should never be in the position for it to be used against us.
