About the walking tour:
The main components of the car-free city center project will be shown, one of the Oslo Green Party's signature projects when running the council. Hundreds of parking spaces have been removed and the streets have been filled with space for people to walk, cycle and socialise. Residents of Oslo now enjoy much cleaner air, more green spaces and street activities, and a safer and more pleasant urban environment, thanks to the measures elected Green officials have taken the last few years. The tour will be guided by Oslo Vice Mayor for urban development Hanna Marcussen, her political advisor Marie Loe Halvorsen and city council representative Sirin Stav.
