At the Online 31st EGP Council, the EGP Committee is organising the election of further members to the EGP Conciliation Panel to fill the open position(s) after the Tampere Council of November 2019, when the mandate of three years started.
The Conciliation Panel consists of an uneven number of members; minimum 5 and maximum 9 persons. The Tampere Council elected Sergi Alegre (Spain), Emily Büning (Germany), Alex Deval (France) and Frieda Jans (Belgium).
By the deadline of Thursday, 21 May (23:59 CEST), the EGP office received the following four candidacies, listed below in alphabetical order.
On top of their motivation letters and CV the candidates have provided a short presentation video of herself, which will be made available asap. A brief presentation and opportunity for Q&A with the candidates in plenary is scheduled on Saturday 13 June in the morning before the voting session.
Election procedures are stipulated in the EGP Rule Book, articles 39, 40 and 41 (pages 34-35). The inline 31st EGP Council will have to elect the remaining member(s) of the Conciliation Panel, respecting the gender balance in the following manner:
- Minimum one position has to be filled: one female member
- If three positions can be filled: maximum one male member, minimum two female members
- Maximum five positions can be filled: maximum two male members, minimum three female members
