Tuesday, 23 February, 2021 - 18:00

If you missed the webinar, you can check out the recording below!

Cars, planes, trains and boats make up about 25% of EU emissions, and yet, transport is one of the most stubborn sectors — emissions have not been decreasing, and in fact have continued to go up (EEA, 2020). We need a major shift in the transport sector to reach climate neutrality. But what do we need to do to reach net-zero? What challenges do we face and how can we tackle them?

Join us for a panel presentation and discussion about what needs to happen in the transport sector to put Europe on track to meeting our climate neutrality goals.

With:

  • Karen Vancluysen, Secretary General of the POLIS Network
  • Andrew Murphy, Director Aviation, Transport & Environment
  • Ciarán Cuffe, MEP and member of the Transport and Tourism Committee

and moderated by Oras Tynkkynen, European Green Party Committee

You can also learn more about the role of transport in reducing emissions via the European Mobility Atlas recently published by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung.
