Dear friends and colleagues,
On behalf of the European Green Party, we would like to invite you to join us at Atelier 29 (rue Jacques de Lalaing 29, 1000 Brussels) for our annual New Year reception. Please save the date: 23 January 2019, from 19:00 to 22:00.
It will be a chance to cast away those January blues and enjoy a convivial moment in an informal setting with Greens, our leading candidates Greens/EFA co-president Ska Keller and MEP Bas Eickhout, the European Greens co-chairs Monica Frassoni and Reinhard Bütikofer, our Secretary General Mar Garcia, MEPs, NGO and think tank representatives, journalists and more. This year, 2019, will be an important and exciting time with the European elections coming up in May, the agreement of the EU’s long-term budget, the establishment of a new European Parliament and Commission, and the ongoing Brexit saga. There will certainly be no shortage of topics to discuss!
Join us on 23 January 2019 to get the New Year off to a good start. We are certainly looking forward to doing everything in our power to shape a Greener and more progressive Europe! Let us know that you are coming by filling in this short form here.
Secretary General of the European Green Party
The next green local councillors conference “Cities for the Future - The Green Way” will take place on 21-22 June in Norway. The conference will take place in Oslo, the European Green Capital 2019.
The countdown is now on until our pivotal Berlin Council between 23-25 November when we will come together among Greens to map out our shared future. On top of the agenda will be the vote to elect our Leading Candidates (known as spitzenkandidaten) who will represent the Green family at European level and blaze a path towards the May 2019 European elections. Alongside this, we’ll be adopting our Manifesto and launching our campaign plan.
