Drilling in Italy: a referendum to prepare a future without fossils
"This year, the European Union begins to fully review its energy policy, from the rules on renewable sources and energy efficiency, to the EU definition for energy, as well as the consequences for the EU deriving from the Paris Agreement” states the Co-Chair of the European Green Party, Monica Frassoni, on the occasion of the launching of the video.
"Right now – Frassoni continues - Italy's position in this crucial race is on the side of those who still believe that future, innovation and work are 'fossils'. We hope that this referendum will instead provide powerful motivation to change course and lead Italy back to taking a more useful stance towards a “green” energy transition, which is both possible and affordable”.
