In an article on 30 April, EurActiv quoted French EP candidate Pascal Durand as saying that a vote had taken place by the European Greens to define our candidate for the EU Commission President. This is completely untrue. The European Green Party has not made such a decision and has no plans to do so. Furthermore, Pascal Durand has confirmed that he made no such statement. We expect Euractiv to correct the article.
José Bové and Ska Keller were selected through a popular vote by means of the Green Primary, as the European Green's presidential candidates and the faces and voice of our Common Campaign across Europe. The presidential debates are a unique and powerful part of this European Election campaign, and we welcome the opportunity to present both our presidential candidates to the voters of Europe as we explain how the Greens are Europe’s true alternative.
