As part of the Green Screen project, we screened 'My Favorite War' (2020), an animated documentary. We also hosted a debate on Latvia's struggle for its own independence and identity through the lens of memory politics, and how this relates to Ukraine's own fight for freedom and self-determination.

From 3-5 June 2022, Green leaders from across Europe gathered to tackle the triple crisis of the pandemic, war in Ukraine and climate emergency. We elected a new Committee, welcomed two new member parties, and adopted five resolutions. Greens are committed to fighting for democracy, freedom, equality, sovereignty, wellbeing and a sustainable future for all!

On 3 May 2022, the European Parliament adopted a position on transnational lists with large majority within a major reform of EU electoral law! They would contribute to the creation of a truly European political system with European constituents that would sit alongside the existing constituencies of Member States.

Greens in government in Belgium, Germany and Ireland have worked on unprecedented energy packages to secure energy independence and fast-track the green transition. These packages battle rising energy bills, enhance energy efficiency, invest in renewables and phase out fossil fuels.

At the Greening from the Ground Up Conference on 7-8 May in Valencia, mayors and local councillors got together to exchange best practices and experiences towards building more resilient municipalities and regions - signing a pledge signalling their commitment!
