To start off this year’s European elections, the European Green Party (EGP) has adopted its common election manifesto. The manifesto will be presented to European citizens in all the 24 official languages of the European Union, and Catalan. The delegates from the 45 EGP member parties adopted the 2014 Manifesto unanimously.
The Electoral Convention also endorsed the leading candidates for our common campaign, Ska Keller and José Bové.
Commenting on this occasion Co-Chair of the European Green Party, Reinhard Bütikofer said:
"Our common manifesto focusses on clear core messages: We're proposing a European Green New Deal to overcome the current crisis. We are giving a bright and strong voice to the ambitious changes that are neccesary for Europe’s energy and climate policy. We're actively working to re-invigorating European democracy. We stand for solidarity and justice within and between European countries. We are first line defenders of civil liberties in the digital age. We want Europe to accept its responsibility for promoting global justice and peace."
