Groen are the only party that are strong and ambitious on both fronts.” Groen are aiming for a hat trick, after successful election results in recent federal and local elections. Their goal is to help strengthen the Green Group in the European Parliament.
The congress was also an opportunity for party members to engage with the Green Primary, to help make sure that the Greens have as big an impact in next year's elections as possible. Special voting booths were set up, with members including party leader Van Besien, and Bart Staes casting their vote.Van Besien is optimistic. “With this team, we are ready to solve the real problems that people struggle day in, day out”.
