Go back to the full programme

In this plenary we will broaden the scope of our discussion, in order to include and share experiences from other Italian and European regions where tourism can represent both an opportunity and a challenge. We will discuss various types of tourism, from intense urban tourism to seasonal tourism, and so on, in particular in terms of proving that sustainable tourism is not only a possibility, but a reality.

Our speakers will illustrate how tourism can have major socio-economic impacts that are compatible with the preservation of the natural and cultural heritage in diverse areas. They will share challenges that they have faced as administrators and their solutions to implement a positive type of tourism.

Can we profit from these experiences in order to find together common guidelines for a Green-oriented way of managing tourism?

Annalisa Corrado, Co-Spokesperson, Green Italia, Italy, will moderate this session
