Touko Aalto, Chair of Vihreat - De Grona, Member of Parliament, Finland Mr. Touko Aalto was elected as a Member of Parliament in 2015 as the first green MP from Central Finland. He has been a member of Jyväskylä City Council since 2008 and in June 2017 he was elected as the chairperson of the Greens of Finland. Mr. Aalto’s main political themes consider sustainable economy, functional health and social services as well as clean nature. He also highlights the means to do politics and represents Greens in the Grand Committee. |

Evelyne Huytebroeck, EGP Committee Member, Belgium Evelyne Huytebroeck is a member of the Committee of the European Green Party. Being a member of the Belgian Green party Ecolo since 1982, Evelyne Huytebroeck was Co-president of the party from 2002 to 2004 and regional Minister for Environment, Energy, Urban Regeneration, Youth and Aid to Individuals from 2004 to 2014. After she was elected regional MP from 1989 to 2002 already, she was elected once again in 2014, a post, which she currently occupies, as well as being a member of the local council. In her capacity as regional minister, Evelyne Huytebroeck sat in the European Environment Council, and participated in all the COP meetings as a negotiator. From 2010 to 2015, she was Vice-president of two city-networks, Energycities and ICLEI. |

Marjolein Meijer, chair of GroenLinks, Netherlands Since may 2015, Marjolein Meijer is chair of GroenLinks. In 2013, Marjolein Meijer became deputy chair and international secretary in the board of GroenLinks. In her daily life, she worked for the municipality of Almere as a counselor and strategic researcher. Marjolein studied at the Free University of Amsterdam, and obtained two master degrees in political science and organizational sciences. In 2012, she obtained her doctorate in political science at the University of Antwerp. She wrote her dissertation on democratic control of European integration. Marjolein is a member of the Advisory Council of the scientific bureau De Helling, and was on the election programme committee for the 2014 European Elections for GroenLinks. She also contributed to the elections programme of the parliamentary elections in 2014. |

Moderator: Monica Frassoni, EGP Committee Member, Italy Monica Frassoni has been Co-Chair of the European Green Party since October 2009. She is also the President of the European Alliance to Save Energy (EUASE), a multi-stakeholder organisation advocating in favour of energy efficiency legislation, and the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES), a foundation implementing projects of electoral assistance in developing countries. In 1987 she became Secretary General of the Young European Federalists. From 1990 to 1999 she worked for the Greens at the European Parliament on constitutional issues, internal regulation and immunity. In 1999 she was elected MEP with Ecolo, and in 2004 with the Federazione dei Verdi. Between 2002 and 2009 she was co-President of the Greens with Daniel Cohn-Bendit. As MEP she focused on the implementation of European law, citizen participation, the role of lobbies, infraction procedures. (Read more)
