Dirk Holemans, Ghent Councillor, Groen, Belgium Dirk Holemans is Director of the Think Tank Oikos, Belgium, which strives for socio-ecological change, and editor- in-chief of the eponymous quarterly journal. He holds degrees in bio-engineering, philosophy and economy and publishes on subjects as environmental philosophy, commons, political ecology and urban development. He is Green Councilor in Ghent, and was earlier member of the Flemish Parliament. He worked as researcher and lecturer at several universities.

Bruno Charles, Vice President of Lyon Metropolis, France Bruno Charles has been Vice President of the Lyon metropolis since 2008. He is in charge of sustainable development and agriculture. In particular, he drew up the energy and climate strategy for the Lyon metropolis.
He was previously Director of the Lyon Environment House, which brings together 30 environmental NGOs.
He founded a center for history and research on political ecology and social alternatives in Lyon.
He is a member of Europe-Ecologie-Les Verts

Moderator: Evelyne Huytebroeck, EGP Committee Member, Belgium Evelyne Huytebroeck is a member of the Committee of the European Green Party. Being a member of the Belgian Green party Ecolo since 1982, Evelyne Huytebroeck was Co-president of the party from 2002 to 2004 and regional Minister for Environment, Energy, Urban Regeneration, Youth and Aid to Individuals from 2004 to 2014. After she was elected regional MP from 1989 to 2002 already, she was elected once again in 2014, a post, which she currently occupies, as well as being a member of the local council. In her capacity as regional minister, Evelyne Huytebroeck sat in the European Environment Council, and participated in all the COP meetings as a negotiator. From 2010 to 2015, she was Vice-president of two city-networks, Energycities and ICLEI. |
