Session organised at the Council in Karlstad, Saturday, 25 November, 18:45 - 20.30.
In the current unstable situation (both under a political and an economic point of view) in most of the Western Southern European countries, we take a closer look at theirs and their Green parties’ situation, focusing also on the sharp contrast between Spain and Italy on the one side and Portugal on the other.
This area is poorly represented in the European Parliament: ahead of the 2019 elections it is important to draw some attention to their current situation, as well as to the impact that their internal multiple crises can have on the EU and on the recent proposals to relaunch the discussion about the future of the EU.
