Position: Influencer Relations Manager for the European Green Party for the 2024 EU Elections Campaign

Among other things, our positions focus on fighting back against the far-right, protecting fundamental rights, tackling the climate crisis, creating a fair economy, and building a strong, democratic Europe.

The Influencer Relations Manager will be an integral part of our campaign team and help us amplify green message through influencers and activists, making a positive impact for climate action, fundamental rights and social conditions in the upcoming European Parliamentary elections.

Indicative starting date: Position to be filled in immediately 

End date: 30 June 2024 

Responsibilities: 

  • Connect, build and nurture relationships with engaged influencers and influential activists who share our values and objectives. 
  • Collaborate in executing and organizing distribution strategy around highly engaging content and urgent political messaging. 
  • Liaise with external agencies and negotiate contracts with influencers and their management to secure their smooth involvement in our campaign. 
  • Connect with various green communities, including the European Greens’ online changemakers network Tilt! and our Local Councilor Network to maximize participation and collaboration among the Greens.
  • Cooperate with the rest of the EGP Team on additional tasks that might be upcoming in relation to activities, events, visits as part of the Common campaign of the EGP. 

Requirements: 

  • Proven experience in managing relationships, identifying potential collaborators, and building networks.  
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts with external stakeholders, ensuring favourable terms for the European Green Party;
  • Strong connections within the green political and activist spaces, including knowledge of green parties across Europe and international green movements;
  • Experience with project and account management;
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools to track the performance of influencer-driven content and providing data-driven recommendations for improvement;
  • Comfortable to work independently, meet deadlines and take ownership of tasks;
  • Flexibility and interest in participating in other aspects of the European Green Party Campaign;
  • Ability to work in a team, particularly in a multicultural environment; 
  • Work permit in Belgium (due to brief timeline, EGP (European Green Party) will not be able to apply for a work permit for this position. This means that non-EU candidates must already have a work permit in Belgium to apply).

Assets: 

  • Experience working in political campaigns or similar advocacy efforts; 
  • Proficiency in multiple European languages to engage with a diverse audience;
  • Comfortable with making use of personal social media channels to connect with influencers and activists;
  • A strong grasp of Green, European and global politics with strong political sensitivity, and a genuine passion for green causes and a commitment to promoting the European Green Party's vision would also be an asset.

Our offer:  

  • A full time (38 hours / week) contract (until 30 June 2024) with flexible working hours. Please note that occasional work-trips abroad and, in urgent cases, unsocial working hours may be required;

Work location:

The work is mainly located at the European Green Party headquarters: Rue du Taciturne 34, 1000, with occasional travel, both in Belgium and abroad.
