Claudia Roth, co-chair of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen, wrote a blog about our European Green primary and the experience the German Greens had with their primary, the Urwahl.
"The media referred to our decision on the primary as having set a new standard. By that we clearly left our political opponents behind. They were still deciding on their leading candidates behind closed doors and now got more and more in a situation where they had to confront themselves with the question why not opt for more democratic and open decision making themselves."
The Heinrich Böll Stiftung Rheinland Pfalz, GARRP and GreenCampus are co-organising the Summer Academy in Mainz, Haus Don Bosco, from 11 to 13 July. It will be a seminar for politically active people and will focus on organising, moderation of meetings, argumentation and campaigning.
