BASF and corporate tax avoidance: Can we fix it? Yes, we can!

The recent scandal related to the chemical giant BASF is only the most recent case of tax avoidance by a large corporation. By using loopholes and mismatches between tax systems, they were able to avoid 923m Euro in tax over five years. This  shows once again that more needs to be done to achieve tax justice. A relaunched proposal by the European Commission provides new bases to work on.
