Last weekend was a busy weekend for Greens all over Europe. In Cyprus parliamentary elections took place. The vote did not result in any major changes in the political landscape.
The Greens received almost 9 000 votes (2,2%), a gain of a quarter of a percent.
The conservative party and the communist party, the leading political forces in Cyprus, both made small gains. But the conservatives have become the biggest party, taking over that role from the communists. The two centrist parties lost a number of seats.
