34th Council of the European Green Party
After very carefully considering the recent developments of the COVID-19 situation in many European countries, the European Green Party has taken the very difficult decision that the 34th Council WILL NOT be organized physically in Budapest as initially planned.
The 34th Council will focus solely on the statutory and decision-making elements and will be organised in an online setting, at the initially planned dates of December 1-4. All member parties and delegates will be informed swiftly about the new arrangements.
This was not an easy decision as we were eager to reconnect with all the friends of the Green family after such a long time of distanced cooperation. We understand and apologise for the big disappointment of all of you who were expecting to meet face-to-face in Budapest, and jointly enjoy of a lively political discussion. However, we must keep as first concern the health and public safety of all delegates, staff members, volunteers and communities engaged around our events and beyond.
2022 will be an important year for the European Green movement, with many key elections and other political milestones. We look forward to meeting with you all again next year!
We hope you and your close ones stay well and healthy

As the COVID19 vaccination campaign picks up steam across Europe, and the continent begins to overcome the health crisis, new challenges lie ahead of us. How do we collectively build back better, fairer and greener?
