The 19th European Greens Council meeting, held in Brussels from November 8-10, was a showcase for the philosophy of political participation. This theme was highlighted by the Council meeting's slogan, which is also the slogan of the Green Primary that was launched on the final day of the Council: You decide Europe!

On Sunday November 10, we launched the Green Primary at a spectacular event at the European Greens Council Meeting in Brussels.  EGP Co-Chair Reinhard Bütikofer MEP and EGP Secretary General Jacqueline Cremers were joined on stage by three of the four contenders - Monica Frassoni, Rebecca Harms, and Ska Keller - while the other contender José Bové appeared by video. The ceremony saw Molly McKeagney, a 16 year old from Ireland, cast the first vote and kick off voting in this innovative experiment in e-democracy!  Check out the video below!
