"The years ahead present important challenges for the European Greens. The widespread fear and uncertainty caused by the economic crisis is threatening to derail the common European project and to undo important advancements, not least in the domain of human rights. Few countries in Europe are suffering as much from the crisis and are seeing such a fast rise of poverty, environmental degradation and xenophobism as Greece, the country that I will represent in the Committee and whose experience I will try to convey."
"I want to support the EGP's transformation towards a real pan‐European political party – in particular by helping it to develop a much stronger standing in Central and South Eastern Europe. I truly believe that European Greens need to find solutions equally appealing to voters across the continent."
Candidate: Alexei Kozlov

The next European Parliament elections in 2014 will be a great challenge for the Greens to convince eastern Europeans that Green is more than a color, but a responsible way to do politics. With Europe in middle of crisis and dramatic threatening of welfare in eastern European region, we need to find a new direction to go. Our answer has to bridge the gap between east and west, and build confidence into European Institutions and Future, built on a common ground.
