Resolution adopted at the EGP Council, Ljubljana, 11-13 April 2008.

Background

On Tuesday April 7 2008 Barbara Schramm has, for health reason, resigned as financial advisor. This leaves the EGP currently with 2 financial advisors, Steve Emmott and Lena Lindström.

-       Because the following year the financial follow-up, due to the upcoming election campaign, will be of utmost importance.

-       Because the council has been informed well during the Vienna council about all candidates for the position of financial advisor.

-       Because at the Vienna council the election resulted in 28 votes for Barbara Schramm, 27 votes for Ari Heikinen and 26 votes for Claude Brouir.

The committee and the treasurers meeting propose to the council to accept the following decisions:

-       The council appoints Ari Heikinen to fill the position of Barbara Schramm until the end of her mandate in the fall of 2010.

-       The council co-opt Claude Brouir as an extra member of the finance monitoring group until fall of 2009

Body:
The EGP is committed to driving climate action towards climate neutrality -- in line with the Paris Agreement goal of keeping global temperature rise to 1.5C. As Greens, we believe that climate action should support Europe’s recovery and help reset us on a path towards a resilient, fair future. Greens are already leading this fight all over Europe and we intend to keep it up.

2021 New Year's Reception as a gift of culture

Short title:
2021 New Year's Reception as a gift of culture
Body:

On Wednesday 27 January, members and friends of the European Green Party convened for a virtual New Year's Reception. Traditionally organised in Brussels and gathering mostly local supporters, this year we hosted our Green family from all over Europe. The reception was an opportunity to take stock of the year 2020 in all its unprecedented ways, but also celebrate our green successes. Our host was the talented Polish activist Michał Suchora who navigated through our virtual event taking place in both Brussels and Warsaw.
