Taking into consideration
The Future of the EGP
•Its resolution on “A Way Forward for the European Greens”, adopted on March 29, 2009 at its 10th Meeting in Brussels
•The paper on the future of the EGP tabled by the outgoing EGP Committee the EGP Council, meeting in Malmö on Oct.18, 2009 is instituting a working group on the future of the EGP. This working group
•will be open to one delegate from each member party, appointed no later than Nov. 31, 2009, to a delegate each from the Federation of Young European Greens, the European Network of Green Seniors, the individual supporters network, the Green Group in the European Parliament, the Green European Foundation and, if desired, by observer parties. This working group should be gender balanced. The working group has the right to elect a drafting committee.
•will use and cover all the topics mentioned in the paper tabled by the outgoing EGP Committee, the results of the debate on this paper in Malmö and considers the contributions tabled by EGP stakeholders as a starting point for its work;’
• will work under the leadership of the newly-elected EGP Committee, combining physical and virtual meetings as well as e-mail based work;
• will report in the Spring Council 2010 on the progress and organize a debate on the hot potatoes in the discussion;
• will deliver proposals for implementation of the conclusions in time to be voted upon by the EGP Council at the latest at its autumn session of 2010.
