Tallinn Council Follow Up

For the reports, presentations and minutes available of the meetings and workshops at the Tallinn Council, click here .

Thank you very much for your participation at the Tallinn Council last weekend! Your contributions to the debate, your active participation in networking and your commitment to the EGP made this Council work!

Evaluation

We concluded on a common position on macro economics, it strengthens the basis of our Green political programme. Besides this we have expressed ourselves on other relevant issues, such as the call to Cancun! However, there is room for improvement and we invite you to send us your comments using the online evaluation here .

Media Coverage

We decided to go to Tallinn to support the Estonian Greens in the run up of their national election campaign March next year. They are happy with the results this Council brought and are very happy and satisfied with the excellent media coverage this Council delivered, because from a a media point of view, this was a successful council. Philippe Lamberts was on the main public broadcaster's breakfast TV programme on Friday morning (average audience around 200,000 viewers: one in 6 Estonians) for an 8 minute interview. Both Monica and Philippe were on Sunday's TV news and the Council was featured in several Estonian and Russian Language newspapers and online media. A popular radio phone-in programme did a 2 hour special programme on green jobs, linked to our Council, on Monday 4th Oct. and of course there were the various posters, large billboards, and videos advertising our Council around the city of Tallinn. Here you can find a round up of the press and media coverage.
