Small step for the city, big leap for progressive politics. In this walking tour we will have a stroll around the city center stopping by small yet significant public space improvements lead by Progresivie in City Council -  you will have an opportunity to see and hear the political backstories about park reconstructions, public water refill station in Vermanes park (that we have piloted all around Riga), bike lanes on Caka street (which was a controversial progressive fight), hear about Riga Central station reconstruction for Rail Baltica and pop-up green square "Teatra laukums" and our Riga Summer Street project. Tour will be joined by Riga City Councillors and our Riga team.

Sunday, 5 June - 15:00 - 17:00 - TOUR FULLY BOOKED, REGISTRATION CLOSED

Meeting point: Hotel Lobby - Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel (Adress: Elizabetes Street 55, Riga, LV-1010, Latvia) & Online

Dive in our market culture. Let's explore our newly redeveloped market place in Agenskalns - a historic neighborhood that welcomed this May the opening of the market. Āgenskalna tirgus is the oldest marketplace on the left bank of Daugava in Riga, a place to buy food, handicrafts, flowers, plants, and other goods. Its impressive market hall was first opened in 1925. About 70 farmers and home producers will offer their products on the ground floor of the renovated market hall, representing all food groups with a preference for local tastes. Upstairs is a delight for the belly and spirit - have a meal or a drink with a view of the market atmosphere, enjoy the ambiance at the favorite bar of Rigans “VEST,” coffee roasters “Kalve Coffee” and family-run pizzeria “Vīnkalni Pils Māja". In this tour we will be less walking and more enjoying food and drinks that this market offers!
