For the 2019 EU election, the European Green Party seeks to strengthen the campaign team with a campaign and community builder. The selected candidate will be responsible to develop campaigns for Tilt! - the Changemaking Network, and communicate effectively with our activists.
Your role will be broad and will range from monitoring what issues we can grab onto and drafting campaign emails with tight deadlines to preparing campaign and social media strategies and making sure that all stakeholders are on board.
Tilt - the Changemaking Network is a platform set up by the European Green Party to unite and activate progressive people throughout Europe. With the help of campaigns, such as petitions, we aim to further grow our platform and increase our impact for progressive causes. It’s a new, exciting and highly ambitious project for the party – and a sign of our aspiration to reach millions of people across Europe with compelling and engaging communication. In this role you’ll be at the forefront of that effort.

Tasks and responsibilities
Monitoring the news, social media and political affairs for progressive and Green topics to campaign on.
Creative and strategic development for the implementation of campaigns - from petitions and donations to actions on the ground and social media outreach.
Writing activation and fundraising emails to engage our base.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Technically setting up campaigns through NationBuilder and our social media channels.
Your assets and qualities
You have experience in campaigning, journalism or copywriting.
You have strong instinct for campaigning and organising.
You can spot a compelling campaign from afar and know what it takes to motivate people.
You are comfortable with working in an English-speaking environment (further EU languages are considered an asset).
You are dedicated to building a more progressive and sustainable Europe.
You have no problem with working independently when so required.
You are a team player and pro-actively and effectively seek input from others.
You can handle a fast-paced working environment that can at times be stressful.
You understand the challenges and opportunities of working in politics.
We offer a full-time position with flexible working hours and a lot of travelling.
We cover external costs such as travelling for work or equipment needs.

The European Green Party office is based in Ixelles, Brussels. The position is full time (38 hours a week). Flexible working hours as well as regular travel are part of the job profile.
