Press registration - 33rd EGP Council

Dear journalists, dear correspondents,

We would like to invite you to the 33rd European Green Party Council that will take place online and in Brussels on May 28-29.

Building back better, fairer and greener is not a slogan. It is an imperative and an opportunity ahead of us. The post-corona recovery must consist of systemic change leading to a new prosperity for Europe. A Europe that puts the well-being of all within planetary boundaries at the top of its agenda. The Greens are at the forefront of this paradigm shift. The electoral rendez-vous in France and Germany, along with the support EU Member States will receive as part of their national recovery plans, will be crucial moments for our political family.

We have the ambition to demonstrate both through our programme and our actions that the Greens are the political force most apt to lead this rapid and necessary shift, in a just and fair manner.

This will be the central point of our 33rd Council. Annalena Baerbock, German Greens candidate for Chancellor, will give a keynote address on the meaning for Europe of a Green leadership in Germany.

European Green Party co-chairs, Thomas Waitz and Evelyne Huytebroeck, will further explore the opportunities for the Green family in this unique political moment during a press briefing.
