Between electro and triphop, soul and rock, Dha Khan crosses musical boundaries
Dha Khan: An aboriginal ancestral deity in the form of a giant rainbow-shaped snake ...
Eclectic samples, impressive synths, electric guitars and basses, drum machine and vocals, these are the elements the band has chosen to take us into a world without limits or borders. Their music sometimes contemplative, sometimes bouncy and rhythmic, come with lyrics talking about the issues of our societies and the more inner themes of our personal choices.
They met at school, but it is in 2017 that the members of the group come together to create a music celebrating both the urban verticality and the horizon of the roots of the world, as their life and their diversified origins. Carried by Virginie's voice, Dimitri's bass and Lee's machines and guitars, the Liege-born belgian trio released in autumn 2018 their first EP "Frontiers", the fruit of a mischievous mix of artists from labels like Warp or Ninja Tune, English trip-hop and American hip-hop culture. They create and autoproduct a captivating music, full of originality.
