When I awoke to find the water closet, the car that was adjoined to our sleeper car was….well….different shall we say. The car that I was considering taking a nap in was well on its way to Warsaw.
Well it is a good thing that I didn’t do what I was thinking of doing about 2:30 in the morning. I am still somewhat on North American time so it was a little difficult getting to sleep. Barry and I enjoyed a beer at the end of the evening as we found some seats in the car next to our sleeper car. I was thinking that I might have better luck falling asleep in one of those seats. I decided against that and eventually got to sleep in my upper berth. When I awoke to find the water closet, the car that was adjoined to our sleeper car was….well….different shall we say. The car that I was considering taking a nap in was well on its way to Warsaw.
I would have been in a similar situation as a young traveller who was on my plane from Ottawa to Chicago. She was heading back to Sweden but was supposed to be connecting through New York where her luggage was being stored. She had just taken a side trip to Ottawa. But due to Hurricane Sandy, she was going to Stockholm directly from Chicago, so she had no idea how she was going to get her luggage shipped from New York to Stockholm. But at least she had her shoes.
Today we are meeting with the Greens of the Czech Republic. Raining here. Beautiful park we are passing by.
There will be a press release about Czech energy and environmental policy. As seems to be the norm in European and Western democracies, the hot topic of government cuts will be discussed as well.
