The Individual Supporters' Network has organised a train trip to the EGP Council in Athens, November 2012. Here you will find all the preparations, the routes, the decisions, and the participants of the journey.
Follow our adventures, our stories, our photos and experiences on Facebook as well!
For the first time, we have a series of Green bloggers who are heading out on the Athens Express, sending out regular updates, images, opinions... And, as they meet Green supporters across Europe, you should have an entertaining daily read. Today, we have four different people blogging about Athens.

Getting to know new places, new people and their stories is what happens to me every day right now. But this trip will surely introduce me to a whole new dimension of it. My backpack is done, I still feel unprepared, I check the timetable once more.
As I was into this hardship, I realised how things have changed ...... in fact, my reaction was, "I am not going to be in a jungle ... if I desperately need something like something warm ... I'll just buy it".
On the bike ride home, I slipped on a block of wet, polished marble and fell hard. It left my hips with a strong sense of shock impact and I could barely walk. The shoulder badly hit and hard to bear any weight.
Much of this trip will be a new experience for me, as I will be traveling to seven or eight countries that I have never been. I have only traveled once on a European train. In 2009, I traveled from Switzerland to Germany with my friend James O'Grady to attend a conference of local Green councilors in Stuttgart. I am not a local councilor, but found the conference very enlightening.
I remember my parents' first fridge, first washing machine, first TV. You just had to plug the thing in and that was it. How long will it be before the gap between "connected" people and the others is too wide to be bridged?
I am a Pisces! Here is what my horoscope read: "Because of Mercury (communication), conflicting with Neptune (illusion), your ideas won't be clear and you could let yourself be dragged in dangerous adventures." Unbelievable .... isn't it?
Blog: Perusing resolutions before a council is quite revealing. Posting them one by one to the website, having to glance over them, read a few, you get a sense of the range of information that the EGP have addressed over the years - and just how far back the EGP voice has been on the record. How far ahead they have been with their established positions.
She was younger than I am, and as with all untimely deaths, that angers me. All the more as, in fact, she was killed by the French Government? How was that? Well remember, when everybody wanted to show how powerful they were, and were toying around testing nuclear weapons, they would never do it close to their own countries, they were doing it far away .... where not much population could demonstrate.
I truly believe that the way we age depends on how we face it. And ecology has the answers for that.
