The Committee works by consensus, it meets eight times per year to ensure consistent implementation of the decisions made by the Council. Each Committee member has specific responsibilities within the group, and brings to the EGP expertise on a wide range of topics, including democracy, climate change, economy, social issues, international politics, GMOs, and many others. They also carry specific responsibilities for the thematic and regional networks organised by the member parties.

The mandate of the current EGP Committee comes to an end this year, and elections for the new Committee, who will lead the European Green Party into the 2014 European Elections campaign, will take place during the Athens Council in November.

Learn more about the structure and role of the committe here.
