At the beginning of the EGP Berlin Council 2018 you will be granted the possibility to visit the German Bundestag. The Bundestag is Germany’s parliament and in the heart of political Berlin. The building itself has been witness to a turbulent history. During WWII it was damaged heavily and its reconstruction was not finished until 1999, when parliament and government moved from Bonn to Berlin. The visit will include a discussion with a member of parliament and a visit to the famous dome “Kuppel” of the Bundestag.
You should have in mind that the visit will start at 10:00, but it is necessary to go through security in order to enter the Parliament. Therefore, the meeting point will be at the official visitors entrance at 09:40 (Uhr am Zentralen Besuchereingang des Reichstagsgebäudes /Eingang West, (white containers in front of the stairs leading into the Reichstag at Scheidemannstraße).
