On Valentine's Day, go dance against sexism

Green MEP Franziska Brantner was part of the afternoon discussion about sexism in Europe. In this video, Franziska asks that we celebrate Valentine's Day a different way and dance against violence against women, dance against sexism.

Sexism has returned to the media forefront with an event in Germany where a journalist wrote about her interchange with Rainer Brüderle, a politician from the Free Democratic Party (FDP), who allegedly made remarks about her bust and approached her inappropriately. This has provided the opportunity for a discussion on sexism and coping strategies. 

The awareness of the exchange was further raised with a Twitter campaign under the hash tag  #aufschrei (#outcry) - with a further experience of sexism with the anonymity of internet comments.
